Facade Design & Engineering

Facade is a French origin word meaning the front face. The use of glass in the exterior facades provided more of light and good ambience to the occupant of the building, which gave rise to the increasing use of glass. For the architectural point of view the use of glass gave aesthetic view to the building itself. A structure supported by aluminum framework, which is made up of Mullion and Transom, is called as a curtain wall. Mullion is a vertical support or we may call it as a column, while the transom is a horizontal support likely to a beam. The first curtain walls were made with steel mullions, and the plate glass was attached to the mullions with asbestos or fiberglass modified glazing compound.

With the increasing complexity of modern architectural Building Facades Contractor in Pune, innovative system design and engineering is the key-factor for a successful project. Clients need to accurately validate the architect’s design and ensure that their building will meet superior performance at competitive cost. Satori Consulting has the expertise of modern façade engineering and a long proven track record. Before execution phase, our responsibility is to provide advanced end-to-end design and engineering services such as structural calculations, predictive thermal model analysis, lighting and acoustic engineering, visual and performance mock-up fabrication, testing and certification, as well as environmental compliance analysis.

Our Structural Glass & Spider Glazing curtain walls are comprehensively designed and engineered according to the Indian Standards local codes and regulations applying for country. Structural calculations for steel and glass (linear and non-linear) are performed according to local standards with Finite Element Method/Analysis (FEM/FEA), using advanced analysis software. Our expert structural glazing engineers conduct various analysis methods such as linear elastic, second order theory, elastic with redistribution of loads, plastic and dynamical plasmatic for earthquake loads, in order to deeply understand the behavior of each application. Most typical loads that are included in structural calculations are self-weight loads, snow loads, wind loads, seismic and earthquake loads, as well as other any active loads on the structure.
